What you will Learn
Students will learn the basics of patient care, hygiene maintenance, bed making, mobility support, feeding assistance, and monitoring of vital signs. The course also includes training on infection control, handling medical equipment, and assisting in routine procedures. In addition to clinical support skills, students are trained in how to communicate with patients and families with empathy and professionalism. The practical training is conducted in a hospital environment to build confidence and real-time experience.
Career Opportunities
After completing the GDA course, students can work as patient care assistants, ward attendants, nursing aides, or home health aides in hospitals, elderly care centers, rehabilitation clinics, and home care services. These roles are essential to the functioning of any healthcare facility and are in steady demand across both public and private sectors. With experience, GDAs can also move into senior care roles or supervisory positions.
